America is turning 250 — and our students have something to say.
Davis School District is hosting Voices of a Nation: Student Perspectives on 250 Years of America, a districtwide speaking event aligned with America 250 Utah.
Students from every school and grade level are invited to apply to deliver an original speech about America’s past, present or future.
Selected students will receive mentorship and take the stage on May 4, 2026, at the Davis Instructional Services Center in Layton. The event will be professionally produced and live streamed for the community.
You don’t have to be famous to have something worth saying.
Take the mic. Share your idea. Be part of the story.
Applications due March 18.

Help our students learn beyond the classroom for the 2026-2027 school year! Did you know that PTA covers the cost of transportation for every field trip?! Help us provide unforgettable experiences outside of the classroom! If every student donates $13, we will reach our goal! Once our goal is reached, we will have a snow cone day for the students after spring break! Every donation helps big or small!

This morning at 11:38 a.m., a fire alarm went off in our building, and following state code and safety protocols, the school was evacuated.
Upon investigation, it was determined the alarm sounded as a district maintenance worker cleaning condenser coils in water fountains kicked up dust and triggered the alarm.
Students returned to the school at 11:43 a.m., all are safe and accounted for.
Thank you for your continued support,
